How does Appesat work?

The active ingredient in Appesat has been developed to be resistant to stomach acid and remain active for many hours. Taken before food, it works by stimulating hunger 'sensors' in the stomach wall, which then send a signal to the brain informing it that the stomach is full. Doctors believe that feeling full (satiation) is an essential factor in any diet for successful weight reduction. Because Appesat is active in your stomach before, during and after you eat it significantly increases the number of 'stomach full' messages your brain receives – allowing you to feel full for much longer.

Appesat allows people to successfully learn new, healthy eating habits that can then be maintained on a permanent basis. This avoids the so-called yo-yo effect, where weight is regained once the diet has ended. It also means that the amount of Appesat you take can be reduced, and stopped, over a number of weeks.

Bioginate Complex

Appesat contains Bioginate Complex, a patented fibre complex extracted from the seaweed Laminaria digitata. This has been carefully harvested from farms on the French Atlantic coast.
