From multi-award winning Solaray comes a joint formulation providing optimal levels of shell-fish free Glucosamine, also containing MSM with naturally occurring sulphur and non-animal derived hyaluronic acid, a substance that functions as a natural lubricant and cushion.

Each 3 capsules contain 1500mg vegan source Glucosamine Hydrochloride, 800mg MSM (methylsulfonylmethane), 240mg Turmeric root extract and 20mg Hyaluronic Acid (HA) (microbial fermentation). This advanced formulation provides key raw materials for cartilage support. Glucosamine is derived from vegetable sources, making it suitable for vegans and those with shellfish allergies.

Glucosamine provides raw material for the production of proteoglycans and glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), important structural components of cartilage. An increase in glucosamine in the diet is directly related to an increase in the production of glycosaminoglycans with subsequent increased water retention in the cartilage matrix (water retention is key to the cushioning properties of cartilage).

MSM is a source of sulphur, which is important for the formation of collagen, a strong fibrous protein that forms a flexible matrix - the foundation of cartilage tissue. MSM is therefore necessary for cartilage integrity and is an important factor in the maintenance of joint tissue. Avocado/Soy Unsaponifiables is a proprietary extract of avocado and soy oils. Recent research suggests that Avocado/Soy Unsaponifiablesmay provide nutritive support for healthy cartilage function.

Hyaluronic Acid is a compound present in every tissue of the body, with the highest concentrations occurring in tissues such as skin, cartilage and eyes providing protection to cell structures. Hyaluronic Acid is a primary component of synovial fluid, which lubricates and reduces friction between bones for healthy pain free joint movement.
